Crisp air, vibrant colors and a bowl of warm peach cobbler. YUM!

The Best Peach Cobbler 8 fresh peaches (peeled and sliced 1 teaspoon lemon juice 1/4 Cup granulated sugar 1/4 Cup brown sugar 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg 2 teaspoon cornstarch 1 1/2 Cup flour 1/3 Cup granulated sugar 1/3 Cup brown sugar 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 9 tablespoons chilled butter, cut into chunks scant 1/2 cup boiling water Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

  2. In a large bowl, combine first section of ingredients: peaches, lemon juice, sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch. Toss to coat evenly, and pour into a 2 quart baking dish. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine next section of ingredients: flour, sugars, baking powder, and salt. Blend in butter with a pastry blender, until mixture is crumbly. Stir in water until just combined.

  4. Remove peaches from oven, and drop spoonfuls of topping over them.

  5. Bake until topping is golden, about 30 minutes.
