Kiss Cookies

This is a favorite at our house! Nothing like biting into a warm cookie and having yummy melted chocolate drip from your lips. They are still great after they cool. And they look all fancy too.

1 bag Hershey Chocolate Kisses 1/2 Cup Butter (real stuff people) 3/4 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter 1/3 Cup Granulated Sugar 1/3 Cup (packed) Brown Sugar 1 Egg 2 Tbls Milk 1 teas Real Vanilla Extract 1 teas Baking Soda 1/2 teas Salt 1 1/2 Cups Flour additional granulated sugar

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit

  • In large bowl or Kitchen Aid, beat the butter and peanut butter together until well blended.

  • Add the granulated and brown sugars and beat until fluffy.

  • Add egg, milk and vanilla. Mix well.

  • Add salt and baking soda and then change to batter hook on Kitchen Aid and add the flour a little at a time until well blended. Batter should be a thick cookie consistency.

  • Shape into 1" balls and roll in additional granulated sugar.

  • Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

  • Bake 10 minutes or until lightly golden.

  • WHILE COOKIES ARE BAKING - remove candy Kisses from their wrappers.

  • Remove from oven and immediately place a candy Kiss on top of each cookie, pressing down so that cookie cracks a little.

  • Remove from cookie sheet and let cool.

  • Devour a couple... just to make sure they are edible. ;)
